Falmouth Fire/Rescue personnel arrived at the retail plaza at 1184 Sandwich Road at 6:58 a.m. on December 24, 2025, in response to a reported structure fire. The Dunkin' manager welcomed Engine 6 and said that there was a smoke haze and the smell of burning electrical equipment in one section of the business. The haze had cleared by the time personnel got there. Firefighters examined rooftop HVAC systems and carried out an internal investigation. The oven's malfunction was identified as the cause of the problem. Gas and electricity were locked to the unit as a safety measure.
