Readsboro Fire Dept. Marks First Call for Engine 92-E3

Jan. 4, 2026 — The Readsboro Fire Department officially placed its newest apparatus into action Sunday morning as Engine 92-E3 responded to its first call for service.

At 10:11 a.m., units 92-E3 and 92-U1 were dispatched to an automatic fire alarm activation. Crews investigated the alarm and determined it to be a false alarm, with no hazards found. The incident was logged as Call Number 001 for the department in 2026, marking a milestone moment for the new engine and its operators.
