January 2, 2026 — Union Fire District of South Kingstown released its 2025 year-in-review statistics, reporting a total of 1,539 calls for service handled by its members throughout the year. According to the department, responses included 38 structure fires, 443 alarms, 477 medical calls, 61 hazardous materials incidents, and 520 other calls for assistance.

Fire officials noted that each response represented a neighbor in need, expressing gratitude for the continued trust and support of the community. The department also recognized the dedication, professionalism, and commitment shown by its firefighters as they served residents across South Kingstown during 2025.
