The Ballston Lake Fire Department began a new leadership year by recognizing their 2026 Firematic and Social Officers. Chief Doug Farrar, Assistant Chief Bill Losert, First Lieutenant Jeremiah Benware, Third Lieutenant Frederic Ross, and Captain of Fire Police George Shemo are the 2026 Firematic Officers. Throughout the upcoming year, these officers will be in charge of emergency operations, training, and scene safety. Additionally, the agency named its 2026 Social Officers, who assist with organizational and administrative tasks. President Greg Durnford, Vice President Nate Clark, Treasurer Paul Simpson, Recording Secretary Erica DeBie, and Financial Secretary Robert Pierce are among these officials.
