Through the utilization of its Traffic Mitigation Trailer, a crucial tool for emergencies, training sessions, and road operations, the Pleasantville Fire Department continues to improve responder and public safety. Cones, barrier devices, warning signs, lane-closure equipment, scene lighting, and visibility aids are just a few of the traffic control and safety elements that are installed in the trailer. To help workers work for prolonged periods of time, additional support items like seats and pop-up umbrellas are also offered.

Responders may reduce traffic, properly direct cars around emergency situations, and create safer work zones for employees working near roads when these resources are easily accessible. When emergency vehicles and traffic control devices are operating, the department advises drivers to slow down, move over, and be vigilant. Additionally, the unit is ready for special events and mutual aid actions.
