Working Mobile Home Fire For Taylor County Firefighters

AT APPROXIMATEL 2027 HRS CAMPBELLSVILLE/TAYLOR COUNTY E-911 DISPATCHED TAYLOR COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT TO A WORKING RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE ACROSS FROM MEMORIAL GARDENS CEMETERY ON OLD US HWY 68 WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 4 MILES WEST OF CAMPBELLSVILLE. LT. HOWARD DOBSON WAS FIRST UNIT ON SCENE AT 2028 HRS AND REPORTED SMOKE AND FLAMES SHOWING FROM A REAR WINDOW OF THE STRUCTURE. HE ALSO MADE CONTACT WITH AN OCCUPANT OF THE STRUCTURE WHO ADVISED HE WAS THE ONLY PERSON AT HOME. ENGINE 63 , FIRST DUE ENGINE, WAS ON SCENE AT 2035 HRS AND STRETCHED TWO 1 3/4" HANDLINES FOR AN OFFENSIVE ATTACK. ENGINE 62 AND TANKER 64 ALSO RESPONDED FOR WATER SUPPLY. THE FIRE WAS CONTROLLED IN APPROXIMATELY 25 MINUTES, AND LAST UNITS CLEARED THE SCENE AT 2216 HRS. CAUSE OF FIRE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.CAMPBELLSVILLE/TAYLOR RESCUE ALSO RESPONDED. TAYLOR COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT ASSISTED WITH THE OCCUPANT WHO APPEARED TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS OR ALCOHOL. THE FIRST TWO PHOTOS WERE TAKEN APPROXIMATELY 3 MINUTES AFTER DISPATCH.
