COXSACKIE, NY - Several fire departments in Greene County made quick work of a pellet stove fire back in November. Fire crews were dispatched to 1801 Sleepy Hollow Road in Coxsackie on Sunday, November 27th just after 12:45 P.M. for a report of a structure fire. Arriving fire chiefs had an active smoke condition and began requesting mutual aid departments to respond. The fire appears to have been in a pellet stove with slight extension to the house, which was quickly contained from first arriving crews. Units operating the incident were Coxsackie, Athens, New Baltimore, Earlton, and Medway-Grapeville fire departments. Also assisting was Coxsackie Ambulance, Greene County Medics.
