Slippery Roads Cause Multiple Accidents in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY - Slippery road conditions causing multiple accidents kept area fire and EMS departments busy on January 5th. Town of Newburgh Police handled two separate accidents on Route 52. The first accident was at Old South Plank Road and South Plank Road, where one subject was transported to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital by Town of Newburgh EMS. The second accident was just west of Old South Plank Road where a vehicle rolled over into the wooded area. One subject was evaluated at the scene. A third accident occurred on Interstate 84 eastbound, just east of the entrance ramp of Route 300, where a vehicle rolled over into a ditch. The South Plank Road accidents were handled by Good-Will FD, while the I-84 accident was handled by Winona Lake FD.
