On December 11, a box alarm in the first-due area of Penn Hills No. 7 Volunteer Fire Company was cleared by Unit 302RE from Wilkins Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1. When crews got there, they discovered a working fire in an apartment below grade. The fire was swiftly put out, and the situation was under control by the firefighters working on the first assignment. 302RE teams helped with utility control and overhaul activities after the knockdown. Before being released by command, members collaborated with other responding companies for around an hour.
