Multiple Departments Respond to Middle Hope Structure Fire

Middle Hope FD responded to a reported structure fire around 1:30 on January 3rd. Middle Hope Command arrived and advised of a garage fire at 111 Leslie Road with multiple vehicles involved. A second alarm was sounded, bringing Cronomer Valley Ladder, Good Will Engine, Marlboro, Plattekill, Newburgh FAST Team, Orange Lake and Winona Lake engines, and Vails Gate FAST. Town of Newburgh Police and EMS were on scene.
Firefighters used multiple hand lines, with the Middle Hope Ladder in operation at the front of the residence. Deputy Orange County Fire Coordinator 36-12 was on scene.
At the 20-minute status check, three lines were operating. At the 30-minute status check, the bulk of the fire was knocked down and crews were checking for extension. Central Hudson was called to the scene. The Town of Newburgh Fire Inspector also responded. The fire is under investigation.
