Early-Morning Flue Fire Controlled on Washington Street in Huntingdon Borough

Huntingdon Regional Fire & Rescue units were sent to the 1500 block of Washington Street at 8:14 a.m. on December 8 in response to a suspected flue fire (incident CFS #450). Engine 65-1 responded with three, Rescue 10 with ten, and Truck 65 with six. When Truck 65 arrived first, it discovered an active chimney fire in a two-story single-family home. After establishing command, Captain 65-2 made a 360-degree round and noticed some light smoke coming from the eaves.
