Weekly Training Focuses on Pre-Rig Haul System at Marion VFC

Marion, Pa. — December 13, 2025 —Weekly training on their new pre-rig haul system was completed by members of Marion Volunteer Fire Company 8. The technology, which is intended to assist in lifting and hauling big goods with minimal physical effort, was examined by firefighters in terms of setup, anchoring, and functioning. Practical application in high-angle rescues, operations in rugged terrain, and restricted space situations were the main topics of the training. Members were able to practice safe, effective practices and become acquainted with the equipment before its deployment. Officers observed that the training lessens staff fatigue and facilitates faster, safer rescue operations.
