Crews Control Engine Compartment Fire on Freemansburg Ave

Due to a reported single-vehicle collision with a small fire in the engine compartment, units from the Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company were sent to the 3900 block of Freemansburg Avenue. When firemen arrived, they discovered a car off the road with only the engine section on fire. In order to stop more risks, crews swiftly put out the fire and secured the car. There were no reports of any further extensions. While emergency services worked and until the car was safely removed from the road, Freemansburg Avenue was blocked to traffic. Firefighters stayed on the site to help with cleaning and traffic safety.
