To enhance its off-road emergency response and rescue capabilities, the Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company has expanded its fleet with two new all-terrain vehicles.

ATV-1 continues to function as a specialist medical transport vehicle and replaces a 2000 John Deere Gator. The vehicle makes it possible for teams to access and transport patients from places that are inaccessible to regular fire or EMS equipment, such as fields, construction sites, trails, and forested areas.

The ATV-2 will serve as a support unit and replace a 2000 Yamaha Grizzly. When conditions render hand-carrying equipment dangerous, it will be utilized to move equipment, transport persons, and support crews during community events and terrain rescues. The department commended LMS Designs and Signs for lettering and vinyl work, Lehigh Valley Fleet Solutions for emergency equipment installation, and its ATV replacement committee for project guidance.
