Bethlehem Township, Pa. — Dec. 8 — Early on Monday morning, members of the Nancy Run Fire Company and Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company responded to a reported attic fire in the 1800 block of 4th Street. After discovering a minor fire in the attic, the crews worked to clear the area so they could check for an extension. Crews stayed on the site to make sure everything was safe until the fire was under control.
Firefighters were sent to the 8000 block of William Penn Highway due to reports of smoke inside a business building while units were working at the 4th Street incident. When personnel arrived, they discovered smoke from a broken kerosene heater. The problem was lessened, and the building was ventilated. Assistance was provided by Palmer Municipal Fire Department and Upper Nazareth Fire Department as part of mutual aid. Photos courtesy of Northeast Bravest.
