Mutual Aid Response Sends Engine 803 to South River

East Brunswick, NJ — December 15 — A second alarm fire earlier in the morning prompted units from the East Brunswick Independent Fire Company to deploy to South River on a mutual assistance assignment. Along with additional mutual aid companies and South River units, Assistant Chief 850 and Engine 803 were despatched and operated under the established incident command system.


Crews from East Brunswick supported suppression efforts by helping with designated fireground operations. Ladder 801 stayed in quarters with a manned crew to maintain coverage inside the East Brunswick township district until resources were allocated to the event. The response ensured local preparedness while showcasing coordinated mutual help actions. Before going back into duty, East Brunswick units operated until they were freed by command.
