After a challenging operational phase, the Neversink Fire Company recognized the assistance of mutual-aid partners. At the station, personnel from North End Fire Company, Hershey Volunteer Fire Company, and Penryn Fire Company No. 1 were available to help with equipment reset, hose cleaning, and line repacking. Several of the same volunteers returned overnight to staff Rescue-Engine 14 with a five-person crew for a fourth-alarm fire in Lebanon City, with Engine 14 also responding, following a full day of Santa runs. After clearing the area at 5:05 a.m., units stayed on duty for over two more hours to make sure all of the equipment was properly repaired and operational.
