The Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire spent time together at fire stations around the city to commemorate the Christmas season. During a hectic time of service, on-duty firefighters shared meals, spoke, and took a quick break from their regular tasks. Throughout the holidays, locals visited by stations to give personnel cookies and other sweets, demonstrating the support of the community. These actions, which were taken during routine operations, demonstrated the close bond that exists between firemen and the communities they protect. The holiday gatherings highlighted camaraderie within the ranks and appreciation from the public for those working through the season to protect the city.
