Penn Hills, Pennsylvania — December 31 — Units from Penn Hills No. 7 Volunteer Fire Company were called to the 300 block of Clay Drive on Wednesday night in response to a reported single-vehicle collision with potential structural involvement. The event was reported to stations 227, 223, and 222. One car had left the road when Rescue 227 arrived. Before the unit arrived, the operator had gotten out of the car and confirmed there were no injuries by speaking with firemen. The car almost hit a house adjacent and a car parked in the driveway. Crews coordinated with responding authorities, evaluated the site, and made sure there were no dangers. Units removed the area after no structural damage was discovered and no casualties were reported. Shortly after, Rescue 227 went back into operation.
