In less then a year the Trough Creek Valley FD has updated almost their entire fleet by acquiring four "new to them" pieces. This move was done to replace aging rigs or apparatus that did not meet the needs of the department. Brush 21 is a 2011 Ford F-350/Reading outfitted with a 280 gpm pump with a 250 gallon tank. This truck was acquired from a local business and a skid unit along with plumbing, tool mounting, and lighting were all done in house. Tanker 21 is a 1993 Freightliner/Walker (1250/3000) that was purchased from a used apparatus dealer after previously serving in Montgomery County, MD, and Prince William County, VA. Squad 21, a 2005 KME Predator (1500/750) was also purchased from a used apparatus dealer after serving in Trevose, PA. Lastly, Special Unit 21 a 2003 Ford F-250 with a Reading box was purchased from a department in West Sunbury, PA.
