On Wednesday, November 27th, 2025, the Woodbridge Fire Department took delivery of the new Engine 3. Engine 3 is a 2025 Spartan Metro Star pumper 2000/750. This rig replaces a 1998 Pierce Lance engine. The new engine 3 features a “city wagon style” concept; therefore, it is designed and built for strictly engine work. It features a low hosebed design, 46” from the ground. It has 3 cross-lays, lines off the rear, along with high-rise racks and ladders on the officer side. It is equipped with a Cummins L-9 450 HP motor, an Allison 3000 EVS transmission, and a Waterous 2000 GPM pump. This engine is a part of the Spartan Extreme Duty Stock Series. It was sold by Campbell Supply Company and carries the serial number 223122.
