The Jefferson Fire Department took part in a real fire drill in the Town of Lancaster. The department hired an interior team to perform practical work within the building and brought Tanker 1 to assist with water shuttle operations. In a controlled setting that closely mimics the circumstances of actual incidents, firefighters rehearsed synchronized fire attack, ventilation, and communication. Training with regional partners guarantees effective mutual-aid responses when necessary and fosters teamwork. The Jefferson Fire Department acknowledged the need of frequent combined training to maintain readiness and operational safety and thanked Lancaster for organizing the smoothly conducted exercise.
