Jersey City (Hudson County NJ) has this 2019 Pierce Enforcer with a Waterous model CMU/CGV 2000-500 three-stage pump, plus a 500-gallon polypropylene water tank. It has a Detroit Diesel 13 525-hp engine and Allison 4000 EVS P transmission. This is the only pumper in the city that has a 3 stage pump. The redevelopment of the Jersey City waterfront has made the city one of the largest centers of banking and finance in the U.S. The waterfront area consists mostly of residential towers, hotels and office buildings. And the city's skyline keeps on growing. The Jersey City Fire Department Chief of Department Steve McGill described this as the first municipal three-stage pumper in the state. The cab has seating for five and cabinet space. The downtown engine company has a 199.5-inch wheelbase, 26-inch extended front bumper with hose tray plus a front inlet. There are free floating running board hose beds on both sides of the apparatus. The tailboard is 16-inches deep. The hose bed capacity includes: 750-feet of 2-inch; 750-feet of 2.5-inch; 750-feet of 1.75-inch; and 1,000-feet of 5-inch hose. Additional features include adjustable shelves, slide out trays, two 6.0-inch hard suctions. Another feature is an LED beacon indicating that the high-pressure pump is engaged. It is located on the top of the crew cab, towards the back edge, roof center.
