Rindge, N.H. — October 23, 2026 — The Rindge Fire Department's new brush truck's chassis has arrived, showing another progress step toward fleet addition.
Voters approved the truck at the March 2026 town meeting, the department announced. New England Truck Design in Sterling, Massachusetts is building it.
The new brush truck should have a 250-gallon water tank, two hose reels, storage for forestry tools, and more equipment for brush fire work. The department expects the vehicle to enter service in time for the spring brush fire season. Rindge Fire Department currently operates a brush truck used to respond to brush fires and other outdoor fires. The department’s website describes its brush truck as part of a fleet that also includes engines, a tanker, a rescue truck and other support equipment
