Chester, Conn. — October 30, 2026 — Eddie Currier now holds senior membership at Chester Hose Company, where he started his fire service career at age 14 in the junior division.
EB employee Currier graduated from Nathan Hale-Ray High School this past June. He additionally works as an usher at Goodspeed in East Haddam and as a landscaper.
In his free time away from his job and the firehouse, Currier likes fishing, restoring his vintage truck, and enjoying the outdoors. He aspires to develop his firefighting expertise, gain deeper knowledge of the organization's equipment, and train to operate the trucks.
Currier’s interest in the fire service grew through his parents, Ed and Suzie Currier, who are active members of the Hose Company. Community members may also recognize Eddie from his work at the Chester Fair, where he has helped at the dunk tank and with food service.
Chester Hose Company welcomed Currier into its senior membership and said it looks forward to seeing him continue to develop in the fire service.
