Providence Canteen Thanks Councilman for Community Support Donation

Povidence, R.I. — Octoberr 16, 2026 —The Special Signal Fire Association / Providence Canteen thanked Providence City Councilman Oscar Vargas for a generous donation supporting the organization's work with emergency responders and the community.

The organization shared its appreciation for the contribution, stating, "I thank them for everything that they do for our community."

The Providence Canteen is a volunteer-operated, nonprofit organization that provides on-scene support to firefighters, police officers and other emergency personnel during incidents and extended operations. Its services include refreshments, hydration and rehabilitation support to help responders manage the physical demands of emergency work.
