Marion’s Christmas Parade Returns December 19

The Marion Fire Department invites emergency service agencies, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community members to join its annual Christmas Parade, set for Saturday, December 19. 

Santa Claus will arrive in Marion via the parade, which begins at 5 p.m. with a lineup. and the parade commenced at 6 p.m. Participants should decorate fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, tractors, and other vehicles with Christmas lights and holiday ornaments. 

The department is accepting submissions from fire, EMS, law enforcement agencies, charities, nonprofits, and small businesses. Awards given by the judges will acknowledge the top-ranked emergency service provider, the leading nonprofit organization, and the most outstanding small business. Organizers mentioned that extra bonus awards might be given.
