Bristol, CT - Operating companies across all duty shifts within the Bristol Fire Department concluded a comprehensive series of live fire training evolutions throughout September and October, reinforcing foundational interior attack, search, and communication tactics.

Conducted strictly in accordance with NFPA 1403 standards for live fire training evolutions, the exercises placed on-duty crews into controlled, high-heat structural burn environments.

The scenarios allowed company officers and firefighters to evaluate decision-making, advance charged hose lines under active thermal conditions, and coordinate primary search and ventilation assignments as coherent shift units.

Department leadership highlighted that beyond tactical suppression skills, the multi-week training cycle provided an invaluable platform for personnel to hone real-time radio and fireground communication, ensuring maximum operational coordination, safety, and operational readiness when responding to working structural emergencies.
