Fire Police, Utility and Pump Training Held in Fort Ann

Fort Ann, N.Y. — October 15 — On Thursday evening, Fort Ann Volunteer Fire Company led a training session on powerline safety and pump operations, involving company members and the Fire Police Association.
The Fire Police Association trained with Northline Utilities about powerline awareness, and Fort Ann members also joined the session. The training allowed responders to assess hazards linked to electrical infrastructure and the importance of recognizing and managing those risks during emergency operations.
The company also welcomed Chief Murphy of Firefighter Trainer LLC, who instructed several members on pump operations. The session concentrated on member skill development and keeping equipment and procedures familiar.
