New Hartford, N.Y. — October 27, 2026 — The New Hartford Fire Department visited Sitrin Child Care Center in October, as part of their fire prevention program, to introduce children to basic safety and show them a fire truck up close.
For certain children, the outing marked their initial exposure to fire safety concepts. Firefighters seized the moment to familiarize and engage the children and staff, letting them interact with local department members.
