Le Roy, N.Y. — October 24, 2026 — Volunteers from the Le Roy and Stafford fire departments worked together at Wolcott Street School to teach students about fire safety and emergency response.
The firefighters delivered fire apparatus and equipment to the school, allowing students to view the tools used in emergency operations nearby. The visit made fire prevention education more engaging by introducing students to the emergency responders in their communities.
Hands-on school visits help firefighters explain their roles, answer questions, and reinforce key safety messages. These sessions also offer a chance to establish trust with students and staff before any emergency arises.
