Haddonfield, N.J. — October 5 — Members of Haddon Fire Company No.1 visited Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School as part of their Fire Prevention Week outreach, offering students valuable lessons on fire safety and emergency preparedness.
The visit was part of the company's planned school outreach during the week, which focused on helping young residents understand fire risks and learn how to respond safely during an emergency.
Fire prevention education helped students become more aware of common hazards and the steps they could take to protect themselves and their families. School visits also gave firefighters an opportunity to connect with students and explain the role of the fire service in protecting the community.
Haddon Fire Company No. 1 identified public education and fire safety awareness as key parts of its mission. The company serves Haddonfield through emergency response, community involvement, and efforts to improve public safety. Its members also take part in regular training to maintain their readiness for emergency calls.
Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School, located on West Redman Avenue in Haddonfield, serves students from preschool through fifth grade, making fire safety education an important part of community outreach to younger residents.
The school visit supported the company’s ongoing efforts to build fire safety awareness among local students and strengthen ties between firefighters, schools, and the community.
