Fort Myers Fire Department (FMFD) crews responded to a house fire on Moreno Avenue just before 9 a.m. on Oct. 13.
When firefighters arrived, they noticed a large column of smoke coming from the home. Crews quickly began working to contain the flames, getting water on the fire within minutes of arriving.
During the response, firefighters located a dog inside the home and safely rescued it. The dog was later reunited with its family.
The fire was extinguished shortly after 9:30 a.m., and no injuries were reported.
Thanks to the quick response and teamwork of FMFD crews, the fire was brought under control, and a family pet was safely returned to its family!
