Vincentown, N.J. — October 9 — Vincent Fire Company concluded Fire Prevention Week on October 9 by handling emergency calls and engaging with local elementary school students before hosting a community open house.

Throughout the day, the company responded to two emergency situations and visited classes for kindergarten, first grade, and second grade at Southampton Township School District. This visit allowed firefighters to interact with young students and promote fire safety knowledge.

The day’s events continued with an open house held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.at the fire station located at 16 Race Street in Vincentown. This event provided families with the chance to meet firefighters, see fire equipment, and learn about emergency operations.

Activities planned for the open house included fire safety demonstrations, a vehicle extrication demonstration, and the hose knockdown prop, which let participants take part in a hands-on fire safety experience. The event also featured fire trucks, bounce houses, food, and ice cream for visitors.

Fire Prevention Week offered a chance for fire departments to share safety tips with residents and help children learn about identifying fire hazards and knowing how to respond during an emergency.

Vincent Fire Company, a fully volunteer organization that has served Vincentown since 1850, continues to support the community through outreach programs in addition to its emergency response responsibilities. The company’s station and contact details can be found on its official website.
