BEDMINSTER, N.J. — October 20 — The Bedminster Fire Official and the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department joined Bedminster School and other local schools in this year’s fire prevention program. Students learned basic fire safety and became familiar with firefighting equipment.
Department members educated students on fire safety by letting them inspect a fire engine and firefighting gear used during emergencies.
The program let students explore the fire service's role, the importance of recognizing fire risks, and how to stay safe. These school-based fire prevention initiatives also enable firefighters to connect with locals while familiarizing kids with emergency services in a learning environment.
