— September 27 — About 60 emergency personnel from New Jersey fire and EMS groups teamed up with French firefighters for the 25th yearly Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in New York City, remembering FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller and others who died on September 11, 2001.
The department announcement states that participants were from Bernardsville, Liberty Corner, Far Hills-Bedminster , Basking Ridge, and other local departments. A group of French firefighters also joined the team. Attendees joined the event even though weather conditions were difficult due to a nor'easter.
