Rahway, N.J. — October 9 — Members of the Rahway Fire Department’s Group 1 practiced technical rescue skills at a training structure outside their headquarters. In the exercise, firefighters trained to lift an injured patient with a tripod set up and secured as a bipod. The setup let team members handle rope systems and equipment for lifting patients from hard-to-reach spots.
