— October 4 — Firefighters from Berkley Fire/Rescue took part in hands-on Rapid Intervention Team ( RIT) training at a facility provided by the Dighton Fire Department in Dighton, Massachusetts, on October 4. The exercise focused on locating and rescuing a downed firefighter in a simulated hazardous environment.

During the training, crews navigated an SCBA maze with limited visibility to locate and remove a manikin representing a trapped or injured firefighter. Several scenarios required multiple teams, allowing members to practice communication, coordination and teamwork during complex rescue operations.
