PORTLAND, Maine — September 18, 2026 — The Training Division of the Portland Fire Department has congratulated Firefighter/ Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Martie Smith on obtaining her National Registry Advanced EMT certification earlier this month.
Smith joined the department in September 2025 as a member of Drill School Class 25-39. She is now undergoing field training with MEDCU and has been assigned to the Pool, Platoon 4.
