Pomfret-Teago Firefighters Join Pomfret 250 Celebration

Pomfret, Vt. — October 4, 2026 — Members of the Pomfret-Teago Volunteer Fire Department took part in the Pomfret 250 celebration, bringing Engine 2 from the department’s Teago station to the community event.

Firefighters displayed the engine and spent time meeting residents, greeting familiar faces and connecting with new members of the community. The event also gave attendees an opportunity to learn more about the local fire service.

Department members also met people who may be interested in becoming future firefighters. Community events like Pomfret 250 can help introduce residents to the work of volunteer firefighters and encourage interest in serving their neighbors.
