Thorndale, PA — September 30 — Thorndale Fire Company volunteers and Caln Township professional firefighters took part in engine company operations training at the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus (CCPSTC).
The training focused on engine company operations, which is a vital component of structural firefighting. Engine crews are essential in positioning equipment, deploying hose lines for attack operations, assisting with search and rescue missions, and creating a dependable water supply during emergencies.
Learning these skills helps firefighters understand their roles, work effectively with other teams, and perform their duties safely during emergency situations. These joint exercises also allow volunteer and professional firefighters to collaborate, improving communication between local fire departments.
The Chester County Public Safety Training Campus offers training and education for fire, emergency medical services, and law enforcement personnel. Its facilities are designed to support hands-on practice that prepares responders for the challenges of emergency situations.
The training session on September 30 gave Thorndale volunteers and Caln Township firefighters a chance to enhance their engine company skills through teamwork. Ongoing training ensures that emergency personnel stay proficient and ready to handle the various challenges they may face at structure fires and other incidents.
