On Friday, first responders, military personnel, and local residents came together throughout Buffalo to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The day featured a silent march originating from Buffalo State, a moment of remembrance on the Scajaquada Expressway pedestrian bridge, and a ceremony held at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park.

Members of the Buffalo Fire Department took part in the events, with Engine 2 leading the silent march and Engine 36 and Ladder 13 accompanying Buffalo Firefighters Local 282 President John Otto and the department’s Honor Guard on the pedestrian bridge. The group showed an American flag as part of the yearly memorial.
