Ionia, N.Y. — September 15 — Firefighter Tyler Parrish successfully completed the Firefighter 1 training during the summer, representing a significant milestone in his development with the Ionia Volunteer Fire Company.

The company has consistently prioritized firefighter training and preparedness as part of its emergency response efforts.

The Ionia Volunteer Fire Company was founded in 1954 and operates from its firehouse located at 8338 County Road 14.

The company stated that its members responded to a variety of emergencies and continued with regular training to stay ready for any call.

Parrish’s completion of Firefighter 1 showed ongoing progress in his fire service training and gave him more skills to assist his fellow firefighters during emergency operations.

The department congratulated Parrish on finishing the program and acknowledged his dedication to continuous training and service to the Ionia community.
