Dauphin County First Responders Honored With Star of Life Awards

Steelton, Pa. — September 17, 2026 — First responders from throughout Dauphin County were honored at an End of Summer Bash, receiving Star of Life Life Awards to recognize their dedication to the community.

The Dauphin County Department of Public Safety announced the recognition after the event. The department stated that multiple first responders were honored for their dedication, compassion, and commitment to serving others.

The Star of Life award recognized the efforts of emergency responders who routinely handle medical emergencies, fires, crashes, and other calls for aid across the county.

The event was a scheduled community recognition initiative, not an emergency response. Consequently, no first-responding department or mutual-aid unit was dispatched to the incident.
