On September 11, members of the Cortlandville Fire Department joined other local residents and first responders at memorial events held in the City of Cortland and Village of Homer, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 2001.

Cortlandville firefighters participated in both local ceremonies to commemorate those who perished and to honor first responders, military personnel, and civilians impacted by the attacks.

In Cortland, the annual remembrance ceremony took place at Courthouse Park, which houses the city’s 9/11 Memorial. The ceremony started at 8:30 a.m. and was accessible to community members.
