Binghamton Marks 25 Years Since 9/11

Binghamton, N.Y. — September 11, 2026 — First responders, city officials and students gathered at Binghamton City Hall on Friday to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and remember those who lost their lives.
The ceremony included a wreath laying at the city's 9/11 memorial. Members of the Binghamton Fire Department, Binghamton Police Department and other public safety agencies attended along with local high school students. Mayor Jared Kraham joined Binghamton High School student council president Jordan Prince in placing the wreath.
Binghamton Fire Chief Thomas Edwards was among the local responders who went to Ground Zero. During Friday's ceremony, Edwards said the lessons of September 11 continue to be reflected in the work of public safety personnel who serve their communities.
