Haddonfield, N.J. — September 30 — Haddon Fire Company No.1 carried out its yearly live burn training on September 30, offering firefighters a chance to practice fireground procedures in a controlled environment.

This training was set up to give team members real-world experience and help them improve their skills used during responses to structural fires.

Firefighters dealt with realistic fire situations and worked together as a well-coordinated team.

The live fire exercises allowed the firefighters to deal with heat, smoke, and shifting fire conditions while following the guidance of experienced instructors.

These types of exercises help keep firefighters skilled in areas such as fire attack, hose line handling, communication, team coordination, and other necessary tasks.

The annual training also gave firefighters a chance to go over standard procedures and find any areas that needed more practice.

Regular hands-on training is essential for keeping the team prepared, especially since structural fires can change quickly and unpredictably.

The training took place at Haddon Fire Company No. 1, located at 15 N. Haddon Ave. in Haddonfield. During the session, members focused on enhancing teamwork, communication, and safe work practices.

The department’s annual live burn program supports ongoing firefighter training and helps ensure that all members are ready with the skills needed to respond effectively in emergencies. The session ended with firefighters going through another round of practical training and instruction.
