Cherry Hill Fire Department Promoted Justin Brown to Captain

Cherry Hill, N.J. — September 16 — The Cherry Hill Fire Department recently held a promotional ceremony on September 16 to honor Justin Brown’s promotion to the rank of Captain.
Brown began his career with the department in 2009 after graduating from Recruit Class 09-20. Throughout his time as a firefighter, he served with Squad 13, Ladder 13, and Engine 13.He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2021 and continued his service with Engine 13 before moving to Ladder 13 in 2023.
As Brown advanced in his career, he remained committed to firefighter training and professional growth.
He was part of the Recruit Academy Command Staff since 2012 and helped prepare new firefighters for their roles within the department.
Brown held certifications as a Fire Officer III and Fire Instructor II, and he also served as a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator.
His expertise and experience helped maintain operational readiness and promote the development of firefighters within the department.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from York College. His career at the Cherry Hill Fire Department included work in engine, ladder, and training operations before his recent promotion to captain.
The Cherry Hill Fire Department, located at 1100 Marlkill Road, acknowledged Brown’s years of service and leadership.
The Office of the Fire Chief and the Cherry Hill Board of Fire Commissioners extended their congratulations to Captain Brown and wished him continued success in his new role.
