East Rutherford Fire Department Reports 49 Calls During August

According to a monthly activity report released by the East Rutherford Fire Department in September 8th, firefighters responded to 49 calls during August. 


In August, the department recorded 28 fire alarms, four carbon monoxide alerts, three gas-related emergencies, five calls for hazardous conditions, two motor vehicle accidents, one vehicle fire, and one elevator emergency. The department also logged one mutual-aid fire response, one mutual-aid alarm response, and three mutual-aid standby responses. 


The data indicate that fire alarms made up the biggest portion of the department’s activity for that month. The next-largest category after the carbon monoxide alarms and gas emergencies was the five hazardous-condition calls.
