Fire Trucks, Safety Tips and Family Fun Coming to Carlstadt

The Carlstadt Fire Department will host the public at its Jefferson Street firehouse on Friday evening as part of its yearly fire prevention and public-safety outreach efforts.

The free open house is set for 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Friday, October 9, residents will have the chance to meet firefighters, tour the firehouse, view department equipment, and learn about fire safety.

On October 2, the Carlstadt Fire Department announced the event as part of its Fire Prevention Week activities.

Visitors can participate in a touch-a-truck event and get up close to fire vehicles. Additional demonstrations are also scheduled, such as hose deployment and the showcasing of firefighting equipment.
